Standard System

The Standard System provides a 4 meters wide timing location, including a main and back up line. The Standard System can handle all possible densities of chips in the events timed. The highest possible density of chips occurs during the start of a marathon.

4 meter wide timing location

The Standard System provides a 4 meter wide timing location, including a main and back up line.

A Standard System consists of the following components:

Each Controller is attached to 4 antenna mats.
The Standard System can handle all possible densities of chips in the events timed. The highest possible density of chips occurs during the start of a marathon, when an average of 700 people a minute cross a 4 meter wide section.

The Standard System is modular, which means it can be used in different ways and combined with other Standard Systems.

Possible Standard System set ups
The Beirut Marathon already has 2 Standard Systems that can be used as follows:

One Standard System can be used to create a 4 meter wide timing location at the START, including a main and a back up line.

The other Standard System can be used to create a
4 meter wide timing location at the
FINISH, including a main and a back up line.

Two Standard Systems can be combined to build an 8 meter wide timing location, including a main line and a back up line. This is the widest possible set up with Controllers on both sides of the lines.

2 Standard systems can be used as the START & FINISH if both are at the same point

2 Standard systems can be used at the FINISH if the START time is taken according to the GUN SHOT time.
